THE i3
The range of a BMW i3 varies slightly by model year. For example, the 2020 BMW i3 is up to 319 kilometres.
Depending on the charging level (the higher the voltage, the faster the charging), the i3’s high-capacity battery can be fully charged in under 6 hours. This time may vary depending on model year and battery capacity. If you drive more than 45 kilometres in a day on a regular basis, you may want to consider charging at home. Different home charging methods include the available Occasional Use Cable and BMW i Wallbox. If you use public stations for charging on the go, you can charge up to 80% in 40 minutes.
A BMW i3 can be charged with standard equipment at any public charging station. For home charging, an Occasional Use Cable is available. Or, for faster home charging, you can install an optional BMW i Wallbox.
PRE-OWNED ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Batteries in EVs are designed for extended life, but like engines in conventional vehicles, they will eventually wear out. The extensive BMW Battery Warranty provides coverage for 8 years/160,000 kilometres against defects in materials or workmanship.
